Lions Heritage Fest 5K Run
The event takes place in West Dundee on September 19, 2026. The race course starts and finishes at the corner of Oregon Avenue and South 1st Street at VFW Post 2298 (117 S. 1st Street, West Dundee). Downtown public parking is available on the south side of Route 72 and on 1st Street south of Oregon Avenue.

Packet pickup is available at the Northern Kane County Chamber Office, 20 S. Grove St. Ste 101, Carpentersville. Pickup hours are Tuesday Sept. 15 9 AM to 4 PM, Wednesday Sept. 16 9 AM to 4 PM, Thursday Sept. 17 9 AM to 6 PM, and Friday Sept. 18 9 AM to 3 PM. Race morning registration opens at 6:30 and closes at 7:45 AM.
Registration fees listed for the event are walkers $30, 5K $45, and 10K $55. Early bird pricing is available with code EnjoyDundee. Participants registered prior to August 14, 2026 are guaranteed an official Lions Heritage Fest T-shirt.
Proceeds benefit the Dundee Township Lions Club and the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce and their charities. Participants are encouraged to donate used eyeglasses or a non-perishable food item. A water stop is located along the course at the 1 mile and 2.4 mile marks, and water is available near the start and finish. Awards are presented to the top three females and top three males and to the top three in each age group for both sexes: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Older.
