Heritage Fest in West Dundee, Illinois includes running and walking events held on September 19, 2026. The event offers multiple course options with the start and finish at the VFW Post on South 1st Street and Oregon Avenue in downtown West Dundee.

All proceeds benefit the Dundee Township Lions Club and the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce and their charities. Participants are encouraged to donate used eyeglasses and non-perishable food items. Packet pickup is available at the Northern Kane County Chamber Office, 20 S. Grove St., Ste 101, Carpentersville on the days before the event with listed pickup hours.
Registration features early-bird pricing that expires June 30. Fee levels include a walker rate and separate fees for the 5K and 10K. Runners and walkers who register before August 14 are guaranteed an official Lions Heritage Fest T-shirt.
Awards are presented for the top three female and top three male finishers and for the top three in each age group for both sexes: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Older. A post-race celebration will be held at the West Dundee VFW with a complimentary beverage and light snacks.
