Lions Heritage Fest races in West Dundee
The event takes place on September 19, 2026, in downtown West Dundee with the race site at the corner of Oregon Avenue and South 1st Street at the West Dundee VFW Post 2298. Parking is available in West Dundee downtown public lots on the south side of Route 72 and on 1st Street south of Oregon Avenue.

All proceeds benefit the Dundee Township Lions Club and the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce and their charities. Participants are encouraged to donate used eyeglasses and non-perishable food items; these support the Lions Clubs International charities noted by the organizers.
Pre-race packet pickup is at the Northern Kane County Chamber Office, 20 S. Grove St., Ste 101, Carpentersville. Pickup days include Tuesday September 15, Wednesday September 16, Thursday September 17, and Friday September 18 with posted daytime hours.
Registration fees were listed in event materials as approximately $30 for walkers, $45 for the 5K, and $55 for the 10K. Registered participants who sign up by the organizer deadlines are guaranteed an official Lions Heritage Fest T-shirt if registered prior to August 14, 2026; additional shirts may be available after the race.
Awards recognize the top three male and female finishers and the top three in each age group, with age groups starting at 9 & under and continuing through 70 & older. Water stations are located along the course near the one and 2.4 mile marks, with additional water near the start and finish. Post-race awards and a celebration take place at the West Dundee VFW where light refreshments will be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
