The Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon takes place on April 11, 2026 in Springfield, Illinois. The event location is the Old State Capitol Plaza, 1 E Old State Capitol Plaza, Springfield, IL 62701. Race entries listed for 2026 include:

Registration opens November 1, 2025 and closes on race day or when the event sells out. Shirts and hoodies are available while inventory lasts.
Course and logistics
The USATF certified course starts and finishes at the Old State Capitol Plaza. The route passes multiple Abraham Lincoln sites: the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices within the first quarter mile, the only house Abraham Lincoln ever owned before one mile, Oak Ridge Cemetery and Lincoln's tomb around mile nine, the city park named for Lincoln at mile ten, and the historic Union Train Station and the Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library near the finish line.
An expo and Friday packet pickup take place at the Old State Capitol the day before the race; race morning packet pickup is also available at the Old State Capitol. The organizers note that virtual entries for 2026 are limited to race day volunteers and that the event is otherwise a live race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
