Event

The Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon is scheduled for April 11, 2026, in Springfield, Illinois, with the start and finish at Old State Capitol Plaza. The primary event is a half marathon (13.1 miles). A virtual option is listed for race day volunteers in 2026. The course is USATF certified. Course and logistics

The course tours multiple Abraham Lincoln sites in downtown Springfield. The route begins and ends at the Old State Capitol Plaza. Landmarks passed by the course include the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices within the first quarter mile, the only home Abraham Lincoln ever owned just under a mile in, Oak Ridge Cemetery and Lincoln's tomb around mile nine, the city park named for Lincoln around mile ten, and the historic Union Train Station and the Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library during the final mile. An expo and Friday packet pickup are held at the Old State Capitol, with additional packet pickup available on race morning near the start area.
