Event Overview
The Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon is a running event taking place in Lincoln, Nebraska. The 49th annual edition is scheduled for May 3, 2026. The event is organized by the volunteer-run Lincoln Track Club, which has promoted running in the area since 1975.
Race Distances
The event features several race distances:
- Marathon: 26.2 miles.
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles.
- Mayor's Run: A 1-mile kids' race.
Event Weekend
A schedule of activities surrounds the main event. On Saturday, May 2, the KFRX Mayor's Run for kids starts at the Nebraska State Capitol. Packet pickup and a runners' expo are held at the Cornhusker Marriott hotel from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, May 3, a final opportunity for packet pickup and a bag check service are available at the University of Nebraska's Cook Pavilion starting at 5:45 a.m. The marathon and half marathon start at the university.
