Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon, May 3, 2026
The 49th Annual Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon takes place in Lincoln, Nebraska on Sunday, May 3, 2026. The event is organized by the Lincoln Track Club, a volunteer organization that has promoted running in Lincoln since 1975. The race course starts at the University of Nebraska and finishes at the Champions Club on Stadium Drive. Bag check is handled at Cook Pavilion and checked bags are moved to Bag Claim at the Stadium Drive Parking Garage beyond the finish.
Race weekend includes a Runner’s Expo and packet pickup at the Cornhusker Marriott, a Mayor’s Run 1 Mile kids race at the Nebraska State Capitol, and a Praise & Pasta pre-race meal hosted by St. Mary’s Catholic Church in partnership with YES CHEF on Centennial Mall. An awards ceremony is held at the Champions Club.
Packet pickup details note that photo ID is not required; pickup requires the registered athlete’s name, bib number, and birth date. A bib doubles as the timing chip and race packet includes a participant shirt and safety pins. A participant shirt exchange is available at early packet pickup and after the race at the headquarters tent.
Transportation options listed for race weekend include driving from I-80, Lincoln Municipal Airport and Omaha Eppley Airfield, and Amtrak service to the Lincoln Haymarket District.
