The 49th annual Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon takes place in Lincoln, Nebraska on Sunday, May 3, 2026. The race is organized by the Lincoln Track Club, a volunteer organization active since 1975. Distances offered include:
- 26.2 Miles
- 13.1 Miles
- 1 Mile (Mayor's Run, kids)
- Capital City Challenge
The race uses wave starts and includes a wheelchair and rucksack start wave. The finish area is at the University of Nebraska Champions Club on Stadium Drive.
Race weekend and logistics
Packet pickup and a runners expo are held at the Cornhusker Marriott. On race day, additional packet pickup and a clear-bag check are available at the University of Nebraska Cook Pavilion. All checked bags are transported to Bag Claim at the Stadium Drive Parking Garage beyond the finish line.
At packet pickup participants receive an official participant shirt, a race envelope with a bib that also serves as the timing chip, and safety pins. Shirt exchange is offered during early packet pickup and beyond the finish line at the Champions Club tent. Photo ID is not required to pick up a packet; the registered athlete’s name, bib number, and birth date are sufficient. Transferring or selling a bib may result in disqualification from current and future Lincoln Track Club events.
Travel options listed include driving via I-80 downtown exits, Lincoln Municipal Airport and Omaha Eppley Airfield, and an Amtrak station in the Lincoln Haymarket District. Hotels around the start and downtown are listed, including several within walking distance of the start line. Spectators are advised that roads near the finish will be closed.
