About the race
LINC'd Up Turkey Trot is a community running event organized by the Coweta Youth Running Club in Summer Grove, Newnan, Georgia on November 26, 2026. The event includes a 5K and a 1 Mile on the scenic LINC path and benefits Newnan Crossing Elementary and Welch Elementary schools.
The 5K is USATF certified (GA25043WC) and serves as a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. The 5K is chip-timed; the 1 Mile uses a finish clock and is not officially timed. Race shirts are included with registration while supplies last. The 5K is open to participants age 6 and older. Youth pricing for the 5K provides a $10 savings for runners 14 and under; the 1 Mile has a flat rate for all ages.
Distances:
- 5K: chip-timed, USATF certified, Peachtree Road Race qualifier
- 1 Mile: finish clock, no official timing
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Summer Grove Town Hall with limited race day pickup. Parking in front of Summer Grove Town Hall is limited; additional parking is available at Summer Grove Market Square and the Newnan Centre, both a walk along the LINC from the start area. Course rules discourage headphones, permit strollers at the back of the field, and prohibit animals and wheeled devices on the course. Awards are given for top overall, masters (age 40+), and age group finishers in the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
