About the race
Limitless Trails presents the Black Mountains Ultramarathon event on 14th June 2025, set in the scenic Black Mountains within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The event offers multiple distances: 50 miles (80 km), 32 miles (50 km), a marathon (27 miles/43.4 km), and a half marathon (13 miles/21 km), with significant elevation gains up to 11,059 ft for the 50-mile race. Starting and finishing at Longtown Hall, Hereford, the course features iconic landmarks such as Llanthony Abbey and Pen Cerrig Calch.
The self-navigated trail runs include 90% trail and 10% road, supported by checkpoints, food stations, medical care, and tracking. Camping near HQ and post-race recovery options enhance the adventure atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
