Lilly’s Lope for Hope
Lilly’s Lope for Hope is a youth suicide awareness and prevention 5K held each October at Philomath City Park. The event is presented by Old Mill Center for Children and Families and takes the form of a community 5K run/walk.
The stated goal of the event is to raise awareness of youth suicide, identified as the second-leading cause of death among young people, and to create hope for the future. Funds raised provide mental health counseling and prevention education for Benton County youth.
The event program includes an informational Resource Fair and a raffle with four prizes each valued at over $100. Raffle winners are announced after the race. Local businesses and organizations support the event at multiple sponsor levels and community partners participate in the resource fair.
Information about registration, volunteer opportunities, and event updates is coordinated by the organizer. The event combines a public activity outdoors at Philomath City Park with educational and resource components aimed at supporting youth mental health in the county.
