Racine Lighthouse Run
The Racine Lighthouse Run is an annual community running event held at Festival Park in Racine, Wisconsin. The event includes both competitive and non-competitive races and also features a memorial kids run.
Distances offered include:
- 10 Mile (actual 10.395 miles) USATF certified course
- 4 Mile competitive run
- 2 Mile fun run/walk
- 4 Mile fun run/walk
- Kids run ("Carl Granetzke" Memorial)
Pre-race packet pickup is available in the Lobby of Festival Hall on days before the event, and packet pickup is also offered on race day in the Festival Hall lobby. Teams and fundraising options are part of the event; teams of ten or more may have the option to have a logo or team name printed on shirts.
Awards follow USATF gun-start rules and include overall and age-category recognition. All finishers receive a finisher's medal; additional recognition pins are awarded to top finishers in overall and masters categories. The Beacon Award is presented to top overall teams and top overall male and female in the 4 and 10 mile divisions. Team scoring uses the combined times of the team's first eligible finishers (first six for 4 miles; first four for 10 miles).
Participants receive a commemorative T-shirt, race bib, finisher's medal, complimentary beverages, and a voucher for the farmers market. The event takes place alongside activities at the Racine Farmers Market. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
