Lighthouse Lookout 5k & 10k
This event offers chip-timed road races at Point Lookout State Park in Scotland, Maryland. The course is paved, largely flat, and runs through the state park; the 10k is two loops of the 5k. The venue sits on a peninsula between the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River and has historic significance related to a Civil War camp.

Points earned at this event count toward a Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and toward a Fall Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for entrants registered before September 30; additional shirts may be available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis.
The race benefits Friends of Point Lookout. Water stations are located along the courses (three on the 10k at approximately mile markers 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65; one on the 5k at about mile 1.55); Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the playground. Live results are posted online after the race and final results with series points are published the Monday following the event.
