Lighthouse Lookout 5k & 10k
This event is held at Point Lookout State Park in Scotland, Maryland on October 11. The course runs on paved roads through the state park on a peninsula between the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River and is described as basically flat and scenic. The park site also has a historical location that once held a Civil War prison camp.

- 5 km single loop through the park
- 10 km two loops of the 5k course
The event counts points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical event shirt and chip timed results. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed before September 30; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first come first served basis.
Water stations are placed along the course, with three stations on the 10k and one on the 5k; some stations include Gatorade. Restrooms are located near the playground. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. Live results are posted online and final results with series points are published after the race.
