Lighthouse Lookout 10k

Event information

The Lighthouse Lookout race takes place on October 12 at Point Lookout State Park, 11175 Point Lookout Rd., Scotland, MD 20687. The event offers two distances:

• 5k
• 10k

Points count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. Registration fees listed in the event information vary by distance and date, and T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before October 1. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered; participants registering on race day should expect limited T-shirt size availability. Parking is available at the state park and a latitude/longitude pin is provided for locating the site.

Course, services and awards

The course is paved with basically no hills and runs through the state park; the 10k is two loops of the 5k. Water stations are placed along the routes at approximately mile markers 1.55 (both courses), 3.1 and 4.65 (10k only); Gatorade will be available at some stations. The event is chip timed and finishers receive a medal and a technical (Dri-Fit) event shirt. Live race results will be posted on Athlinks and via an on-course QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place male and female in standard age groups; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
