Light Up the Sky 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place on May 24, 2026 at New Presque Isle Lighthouse Park in Presque Isle, Michigan. The event marks its 10th year. Net proceeds support the annual Fourth of July fireworks at Presque Isle State Harbor.
Distances and course
- 5K: flat out and back course with a turnaround at the Range Light
- Kid Fun Run: about 3/4 mile on a flat course at New Presque Isle Lighthouse Park
Registration and participant information Registration fees are listed as $20 for the 5K through April 30 and $25 thereafter. The Kid Fun Run fee is $10. Online registration is available through May 22, 2026. Day of race registration and packet pickup are available on site; day of registration is cash only. A limited supply of special design T shirts is available for $15 when ordered by April 30 to guarantee a shirt. The first 150 finishers in the 5K and the first 50 finishers in the Kid Fun Run will receive a medal. Strollers and pets on leashes are permitted on course.
