Light Up the Sky 5K Run/Walk
The Light Up the Sky 5K Run/Walk celebrates its 10th anniversary in Presque Isle. This annual event raises funds to support the 4th of July fireworks display held at the Presque Isle State Harbor. Both the main distance and the youth event begin at the New Presque Isle Lighthouse Park.
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kid Fun Run
The first 100 finishers in the 5K event receive a medal, while the first 50 finishers in the Kid Fun Run are also awarded medals. Registration for the 5K has a tiered pricing structure, with the fee increasing after April 30. Special design t-shirts are available for purchase during the early registration period while supplies last.
Registration is available online until the Friday before the event. Race day registration is also permitted during a designated window, though these on-site payments are limited to cash only. Packet pick-up takes place on the morning of the race at the event location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
