Light up the Night for Noelle
Light up the Night for Noelle is an annual evening run and walk in Sarnia, based at 1200 Lake Chipican Drive. The route passes through Canatara Park and Waterfront Park and offers distances for adults and children.
Distances offered:
- 10 km chip-timed run, two laps of a 5 km loop
- 5 km chip-timed run or non-timed walk option
- 1 km kids race for ages 3 to 12
Some entries include a chipped bib, medal and race swag; a "Bare Bones 5k" option is available without medal or swag. Race kit pick-up takes place at the Beach Pavilion. An automatic 10% discount applies for groups of three or more. Selected participant categories receive a free t-shirt.
The Kids Marathon program guides children over the summer to complete a cumulative 42.2 km, with the final 1 km held on event night and supported by coaches and community volunteers.
Proceeds go to Noelle's Gift to benefit students in the Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent areas. The listed fundraising goal is CA$20,000 with CA$27.80 raised so far. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
