Light Up the Night 5K Run/Walk in Peru, Indiana
This is a nighttime 5K run and walk held in Peru in support of the Back to School Festival. The event takes place at the Ole Olsen Memorial Theater and along the Riverwalk at 154 S. Broadway, Peru, IN 46970. Both running and walking entries are offered.
Registration is handled at the Depot at the Ole Olsen Memorial Theater. Prizes will be awarded for first place male and female walkers and runners in the following age groups: 12 and under, 13 to 18, 19 to 25, 26 to 40, 41 to 60, and 61 and up.
The course begins near the Depot gazebo, continues along the Riverwalk including the new portion out to the little league fields, and returns to the starting area. Participants are advised to wear bright colored or reflective clothing for visibility.
Entry options include Running 5K and Walking 5K, with a listed fee of 25 USD for individual entries. The event is organized by the Back to School Festival and uses the Riverwalk and theater area as its primary venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
