Light The Way 5K - Mission, TX
Light The Way 5K is the final race in the Mind Space Running Series, focused on mental health and community support. The event takes place in Mission, Texas on December 5, 2026, and includes an illuminated evening course with glowing decorations, music, and local vendors.
Race options include a 5K and a 1 mile run/walk. Packet pickup is scheduled for December 4, 2026 at Valley Running, 1701 Dove Ave W, Suite J, McAllen, TX 78504, during the afternoon and early evening. A T-shirt registration deadline is listed as November 14, 2026; participants registering after that date are not guaranteed requested sizes.
On-course and participant features include chip timing with live results, a finisher medal for all participants, an official race shirt, a hydration station, a live DJ and inspirational music, free race photos, a start/finish inflatable arch, illuminated course features, and a glow-inspired photo area. Local vendor booths will be present and a vendor booth option is available with a separate fee.
Awards are planned for top overall male and female finishers and for multiple age group categories including 12 and under, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus.
