Event Overview
The Light the Way 5K is an inaugural community road race taking place in Dallas, Georgia. This event serves as a fundraiser to benefit Make-A-Wish Georgia and to support a local family within Paulding County. The race is open to individual participants, and a discounted registration rate is available for couples who sign up together. All registered participants receive an event shirt.
Course and Location
The race begins and ends at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 240 Constitution Blvd. The route is designed to take runners through and around the park area, as well as the Watson Government Complex. Parking is available on-site at the park; however, roads within the park close 30 minutes before the race start to ensure participant safety.

Awards and Recognition
Prizes are presented to the top three overall female and male finishers, along with the top masters female and male finishers. Age group awards are also categorized as follows:
- 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over.
