Light Horse Ultra 2026
The Light Horse Ultra is a timed loop ultramarathon scheduled for 5 and 6 September 2026 in the northern suburbs of Perth. The 2026 edition marks the tenth running of the event and is described as the final edition. The event takes place at Perry’s Paddock in Woodvale.
Race format and course
Distances offered include:
- 24 hour (solo and teams)
- 12 hour
- 6 hour
- 3 hour
- 1 hour (kids)
Runners complete laps of a circuit of approximately 2.5 km. The loop mixes limestone, boardwalk and asphalt surfaces.
Traditions, entry and partners
The event includes an annual dawn service held in Perry’s Paddock, with the last post and reveille played before the timed events begin. The organiser offers a heavily discounted entry fee of $25 to past and present service personnel regardless of nationality. The event partners with the charity Soldiers & Sirens.
