Event Overview
The LifeSong Dash is an annual road racing event held in Halfmoon Town Park. This event includes a 5 km run and a youth-focused race, serving as a community gathering that supports LifeSong, Inc. in its mission to assist adults with disabilities and their families. The 2026 edition marks the thirteenth year of the race and is a USATF Sanctioned Event.
Race Categories

- LifeSong Dash 5K: A 3.1 mile road race for runners of various experience levels.
- Junior Dash: A 1 mile race specifically for children aged 12 and under.
- Members Dash: A 3.1 mile event specifically for LifeSong program members.
Community and Location
The event functions as a community celebration and block party. The course route is situated within the Town of Halfmoon. Participants can access the course details via GPX files or Google Maps links. In previous years, the event has attracted runners from across the Northeast and raised significant funds for local infrastructure projects, such as the renovation and expansion of community offices in Clifton Park.
