Life Worth Living 5K and WALK at Abbott Farms
The Life Worth Living event at Abbott Farms in Baldwinsville, NY is organized to raise awareness to prevent suicide. The event includes on-site and virtual options and takes place on the Abbott Farms property at 3275 Cold Springs Rd.
The 5K course combines roads and trails across the farm and through the housing development behind Abbott Farms. The course includes a memorial orchard remembering over 80 victims with local ties. Runners are timed using chip timing.

On the farm there will be food and family activities including ice cream, bakery goods, berry picking and a barnyard with baby animals. The Cider House Grille will be open with a full menu of grilled entrees and treats.
The memorial fund behind the event is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to build awareness, support effective treatment programs and reduce the prevalence of suicide among young people. The fund reports more than $170,000 raised locally to support programs, including an endowment for an outpatient psychiatry high risk program at Upstate Medical University and support for a Children’s Crisis Residence Program at Elmcrest Children’s Center.
Packet pickup and in-person registration are scheduled at Fleet Feet Syracuse and at Abbott Farms on the days before the event and on race day. Same-day registration does not guarantee a shirt or medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
