About the race
The Life Unlimited 5K & 1 Mile Walk takes place on March 14, 2026 in North Kansas City at 320 Armour Rd., North Kansas City, MO 64116. The event is held in partnership with the Snake Saturday Parade in downtown North Kansas City. - 5K - 1 Mile Walk All participants receive a custom finisher medal, free race photos, and a unisex tri-blend t-shirt. Additional race-day features include a complimentary craft beer on a rooftop while watching the Snake Saturday Parade, and discounts and giveaways from event sponsors.
The 5K medal is a large 4 inch design and the 1 Mile medal is a large 3.5 inch design. The race supports Life Unlimited, an organization that provides services, education, and opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Life Unlimited has operated for over 50 years, serves more than 1,000 individuals across 12 counties, and is the largest provider of services for adults with disabilities in the Kansas City metro and Northwest Missouri. Race registration directly supports the organization’s mission. Awards include custom plaques for the top overall male and female winners, who also receive a free night stay at the Elm's Hotel and a gift basket from Trader Joe's.
Age group medals are awarded in standard male and female categories. Packet pickup is scheduled March 13 and March 14 with a race day pickup at 320 Armour Rd. Parking at the event location is very limited; a shuttle lot is located at 3920 N.
