Event Overview
The Crescent City Catfish 5K takes place in Crescent City, Florida, as part of the local Catfish Festival. This running race is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Crescent City's Catfish Festival, with proceeds supporting the "Dollars for Scholars" program. Participants run through residential neighborhoods and along the banks of Lake Crescent.
Course Details
The race distance is 5 km on a USATF-certified course (#FL19037TY). The route consists of smooth asphalt and includes winding roads with some rolling hills and several steep grades. The course is marked throughout, and intersections are closed to vehicle traffic. A water station is provided at the halfway point. Timing is performed professionally using disposable electronic tags attached to the bib numbers. A large digital clock is positioned at the start-finish line to track progress.
Participant Information
Registered participants receive a t-shirt, a finisher's medal, a goody bag, and post-race refreshments. T-shirt sizes and availability are guaranteed for those who register by certain deadlines. Portable toilets are located at the start and finish area. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers.
