Lickety Splitz Popsicle Run : Albuquerque, NM
The Lickety Splitz Popsicle Run is a community running event that starts and finishes at Sagebrush Community Church in Albuquerque. The course is a scenic loop that passes through the North Valley and Bosque trails. Registered participants receive an event T-shirt and a custom finisher medal. Post-race refreshments include popsicles and other goodies.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 10K : 6.21 miles, timed with a chip finish
- 5K : 3.12 miles, timed with a chip finish
- 5K (17 and under) : 3.12 miles, youth category
- Kids K : 1K, non-timed
Timed events require a visible race bib and timing chip to be included in official results and award eligibility. The Kids K is non-timed and does not use timing chips. Overall and age group awards are presented for the 10K and 5K, with top finishers determined by gun time. All awards must be picked up on race day.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at Fleet Feet Sports in North Towne Plaza. Race-day registration is available at the venue. Medical staff and radio communications will be positioned along the course; event officials may withdraw any participant who appears at risk. Water and Powerade are provided at course aid stations. A lost and found will be available on race day.
Certain items and activities are restricted on course: wheeled devices such as strollers and skateboards are not permitted, and dogs are not allowed. Participants may use personal music devices except those competing for prizes; GPS watches are permitted but are not official timing devices.
