License to Fly 5k : Coats, NC
License to Fly is scheduled for Saturday May 9, 2026 in Coats, North Carolina. This is the first running of the event. The course begins and ends near the mural in Downtown Coats, with the venue listed at 214 E Park St.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Coats Lions Club. The race will be chip timed. Medals will be presented to the top three overall female and male finishers. Age group medals will be awarded to females and males using USAT&F ten year groupings: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and up.
This race serves as the first event in a Harnett County series that includes races in Erwin and Dunn. A bundle registration option is offered for the series; bundle registration is available only until March 31, 2026 when registration for the first race closes.
