LIC Waterfront 5K Run/Walk
The LIC Waterfront 5K Run/Walk is held at Hunter's Point South Park in Long Island City, New York, near the intersection of Center Boulevard and Borden Avenue. The event is organized as a community 5-kilometre run/walk along the waterfront and includes a separate Kids Dash for ages 9 and under.
Amenities listed for participants include participant T-shirts for those who register before May 14. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers in the M/F/X categories.
Bib pickup is offered at two locations: Culture Lab LIC at the Plaxall Gallery (5-25 46th Ave., Long Island City) on the Thursday and Friday before the event, and at Ottomanelli’s By The Water on the west side of Hunter's Point South Park by the East River on the day of the event. Specific pickup times are provided by the organizer.
Registration is not yet open; organizers indicate registration will open ahead of the event and online registration will be available. Live online, email, and text results are provided, along with free video and same-day finish-line photos. Miscellaneous event photos are posted on the event organizer's Facebook presence.
