The Liberation and Freedom Days Reparations Run/Walk is an annual event held in Charlottesville. It is presented by a partnership between the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center and Prolyfyck Run Crew.

The event offers two options:
- Liberation and Freedom Day: 8 Mile Run
- Liberation and Freedom Day: 4 Mile Walk
Purpose and Route
The event raises funds for organizations with Black leadership that support the community. The run and walk routes pass by important sites of African American history in the city and by African American businesses.
About the Holiday
Liberation and Freedom Day is a municipal holiday in Charlottesville celebrated on March 3. It commemorates the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Charlottesville, liberating over 14,000 enslaved people.
Location and Packet Pickup
