Lewistown Chokecherry Run
The Lewistown Chokecherry Run is a multi-race event held at Frank Day Park in Lewistown, Montana. The program includes a 10K, a 5K run, a 5K walk, and sponsored 1 mile fun runs offered in separate age categories.
Distances:
- 10K - paved road, mostly downhill, turns onto Roundhouse Road
- 5K run - one hill and a small gravel section, finishes along Brewery Flats
- 5K walk - 3.1 miles walking route
- 1 Mile fun runs - flat course; kids 12 and under and ages 13 and older categories
The 10K follows paved roads and runs along the scenic Brewery Flats to the finish at Frank Day Park. A portable bathroom is available at the race start. The 5K includes one hill and a short gravel portion before finishing at the park. The 1 mile event for children covers roughly 2 1/4 laps around the city park and is a flat course.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5K run, 5K walk, and 10K; $0 for the kids 1 mile; and $10 for the 1 mile for ages 13 and older. Packet pickup is available at the Lewistown Sport Center on September 6 and on event day at Frank Day Park. T shirts and swag are not guaranteed for registrations after August 1.
