Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) Run 2026
The Lethbridge Police Service Run moves to a virtual format in 2026 due to construction at the finish line. The event supports Special Olympics Alberta and aims to create opportunities for athletes to train, compete, and thrive.
There is a flat registration fee of $30 for a choice of distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
A "Trifecta" option allows completion of all three distances. Each registration includes an official "Under Construction" run T-shirt (if registered by September 1), a race bib, entry into prize draws, and a flexible, go-anywhere run experience. No time submissions are required. Participants may run solo, with friends, or join a group led by off-duty officers.
Refunds and deferrals are not available, but bib transfers are permitted. A community run with off-duty officers is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Runner's Soul (2646 South Parkside Drive, Lethridge). A wrap-up celebration will take place Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Elk's Compound (55-79 Botteril Bottom Rd S, Lethbridge) and will include T-shirt and bib pick-up, random bib prize draws, a charity pancake breakfast for $5 courtesy of Firefighters Charities, and meet-and-greets with LPS officers, sponsors, and Special Olympics athletes.
