LESS Society Table Rock Hike : Boise, ID
The LESS Society Table Rock Hike is the third annual community hike held in Boise to support the LESS Society Idaho Scholarship Initiative. The event is based at the Table Rock Trailhead near 2420 E Old Penitentiary Rd and uses the Table Rock Trail, numbered Trail 15.
The main route is an approximately 3.8-mile round-trip with about 900 feet of elevation gain. Participants ascend from the trailhead to the summit overlooking downtown Boise and return to the base. The course is described as moderate in difficulty, fully marked, and staffed by volunteers for safety and guidance.
If trail conditions are muddy or unsafe, the route will shift to the Old Penitentiary Loop Trail (Trail 17) and the Shoshone-Bannock Trail (Trail 20) to maintain a similar distance while protecting sensitive terrain.
On-course support includes aid stations at the trailhead, midpoint, and summit offering water, electrolyte drinks, light snacks, and first aid. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. A certified medical responder is on site and volunteers carry radios along the course. Post event cleanup and trail restoration are organized by volunteers.
