About the race
The 3rd Annual 9/11 5K and 1 Mile Walk We Run So They Can Fly is scheduled for September 13, 2026 at Memorial Sports Complex, 1040 Tuckerton Road, Evesham, NJ. The event offers in-person and virtual participation and supports an aviation scholarship program for young adults pursuing careers in aviation.

The 5K course is described as flat and fast and begins at Memorial Sports Complex. Race services include chip timing, high definition finish line video, text messaging and instant results via RunSignUp. Medals awarded include Gold, Silver and Bronze in each age group. Race day packets are distributed on race day.
Registration details vary by format. In-person registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes August 1, 2026 with an entry fee of $35. Virtual registration is available separately and has a higher fee to cover shipping; the virtual fee is $45. T shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed before August 17; sizes after that date are subject to availability. Virtual participants may complete their event remotely through September 20 and submit results afterward.
