Leprechaun Chase 10K Run
The Leprechaun Chase is a 10 km road race held in Ashland, Nebraska. The event takes place at the Strategic Air & Space Museum and is organized by Pink Gorilla Events as part of the BRIN Running Series. The competition features a specific format designed as a "chase" between different starting waves.
Participants are divided into two primary groups based on gender. The female runners start in the first wave, while the male runners begin their race 5½ minutes later. The objective is for the hunters to catch the leaders before the finish line. The gender of the first participant to cross the finish line determines a collective prize for that entire group. Individual winners compete for the Leprechaun Chase Green Jacket.
The race route includes specific course entertainment, such as kilt-wearing bagpipers stationed at intervals along the path. The starting line is located inside an airplane hangar, where a warning siren and the opening of large hangar doors signal the beginning of the race.
Registration for the event includes several amenities:
- A 10 km timed race entry
