Leprechaun Chase 10K Run
The Leprechaun Chase is a St. Patrick's Day themed 10K run held at the Strategic Air & Space Museum in Ashland, Nebraska. The event uses a gender chase format: the lasses begin in the first wave and the lads start 5½ minutes later. The first finisher of the chase earns a prize for their gender.
The event features kilt-wearing bagpipers and bagpipe players positioned along the course. The start has been staged from an airplane hangar and the finish area includes a post-race festival with museum admission available as part of the race offerings. Race services listed by the organizer include an event shirt, a finisher medal, bib-tagged photos, parking, a free beverage and a post-race party.
Additional event elements mentioned by the organizer include a virtual race option, a published course and parking plan, packet pickup, race policies, and volunteer opportunities. The Leprechaun Chase is organized by Pink Gorilla Events and is part of the BRIN Running Series. Results and a recap video are published after the event.
