Event overview
The Leprechaun-a-thon 5K and 2M Walk presented by Atrium Health Floyd takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Rome, GA (1 Bridgepoint Plaza, 30161). The event includes these distances:

- 2 Mile Health Walk
A portion of funds raised will support Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries. The 5K is USATF certified (GA20019WC) and is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
Course and race features
Both the run and the walk start on First Avenue near Bridgepoint Plaza and finish on the pedestrian bridge by the Forum and the Town Green. The 5K course covers portions of the Kingfisher Trail and the levee system behind the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation headquarters. There is one water station on course. Post-race provisions at the Town Green include sports drinks, water, fruit, snacks, foam, and music. The event is held rain or shine.
Registration, packet pickup and awards
Early bird registration rates end February 1; regular registration closes March 8. Group registration closes February 27; late registration is available in person after March 8 at 1 Shorter Avenue. Packet pickup is held the week before the race at Academy Sports + Outdoors (232 Shorter Ave) and group packet pickup at Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation (1 Shorter Ave). Professional RFID chip timing is provided by Wire2Wire Running LLC; results will be posted by that vendor. 5K awards are given to top age-group finishers and to overall, masters, and grandmasters in both sexes.
