Leprechaun-a-thon 5K and 2M Walk : Rome, GA
The Leprechaun-a-thon 5K and 2 Mile Health Walk takes place in Rome, Georgia on March 14, 2026. The event is the 10th annual edition and is presented by Atrium Health Floyd. A portion of funds raised will support Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries.

The 5K course begins on First Avenue near Bridgepoint Plaza, follows portions of the Kingfisher Trail and the levee system behind Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation headquarters, and finishes on the pedestrian bridge near the Forum and the Town Green. The 5K course is certified by USA Track and Field (Certification # GA20019WC) and serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. The 2 Mile walk follows a similar route and finishes at the same pedestrian bridge. There is one water station on course.
Awards for the 5K are given to top age-group finishers and to overall, masters, and grandmasters winners. Age groups include 8 and under, 9-10, 11-14, 15-19, and continuing in five-year increments through 70+.
Packet pick-up is held during the week before the race at Academy Sports + Outdoors, 232 Shorter Ave, Rome. Group packet pick-up is held at Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s main office at 1 Shorter Ave. Registration pricing includes early bird, regular, and late rates with group discounts available; registration windows and deadlines are published by the organizer.
This is a rain or shine event. Post-race provisions at Town Green include sports drinks, water, fruit, and snacks, plus foam and music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
