Lemonade Days 5K
The Lemonade Days 5K is a running event held in Atlanta, Georgia, in partnership with the annual Dunwoody Preservation Trust Lemonade Days Festival. The race proceeds are utilized for historic preservation and education within the local community. The event consists of a single distance:
- 3.1 miles
The course is located within Brook Run Park and is described as mostly flat. Participants run on paved trails that wind through wooded areas and across bridges. The race both begins and ends on the Brook Run Park running trail. This course is designated as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
Participants receive a poly-blend short-sleeve shirt as part of their registration. Awards are presented to the first overall male and female finishers, as well as to winners in age groups ranging from 9 and under to 70 and over.
The race is capped at 500 participants and takes place regardless of rain or sun. Strollers are permitted on the course, but pets are not allowed per festival regulations. Mandatory early packet pickup is held on the day before the race at a local running store in Brookhaven to accommodate the festival crowds. Items such as shirts and awards are not sent by mail; however, they can be collected from the designated running store two days after the event if they are not retrieved during the scheduled times.
