Loop The Hooch 50K/25K/Team Relay
Loop The Hooch is a multi-distance running event held at Chattahoochee Pointe Park in Suwanee, Georgia. The event features a course consisting of a 5 kilometer loop on a gravel and dirt surface that runs along the Chattahoochee River. The terrain is described as flat and fast.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 50K Solo
- 25K Solo
- 50K Relay
The 50K Solo race serves as the RRCA Georgia State Championship Race for 2026. For the 50K Relay, teams of up to five runners complete ten loops total. Teams can be designated as "Female" or "Open," with the latter including all-male and mixed-gender groups. Relay members can divide the loops however they choose, utilizing a designated transition zone for timing.
A single aid station is available on each loop near the start and finish line, providing water and electrolyte mix. This event is cup-less, requiring participants to bring their own bottles or reusable containers.
Teams and individuals are permitted to set up crew tents, provided they remain at least 10 feet away from the course. Due to space constraints, teams are limited to a maximum of two vehicles for participants and spectators. Cash prizes are offered to solo runners or relay teams that break existing course records in the 50K categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
