Leif's Run is part of the Leif Erikson Festival in Norway, Michigan on October 10, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and is staged around the downtown area near City Hall and the City Band Shell.
The available distances include:

- 5K
- 2 mile fun run
Race day registration and check-in take place in the basement of the City Hall. Parking is available on side streets. The event is chip timed with race results provided by Tortoise and Hare Timing of Arbor Vitae, WI. Participants receive long-sleeve shirts featuring a Viking logo and $5 in Viking Bucks to use at participating Norway businesses.
The course begins in downtown Norway in front of City Hall and the City Band Shell, with scenic views of Strawberry Lake. The 10K route passes by the Norway Spring and includes an overlook of downtown. The finish area is at the City Band Shell with spectators and Vikings present. The course will close to allow festival traffic.
Awards and prizes are given to top overall male and female finishers for the 10K and 5K, to age group winners for the 10K and 5K, and a BEST costume prize is available to participants in all races.
After the race there will be music in the City Band Shell, food vendors, Viking reenactments, a fine art show, blacksmith demonstration, children's activities, the crowning of Miss Norway, and an afternoon parade. The festival concludes with a walk for the Viking funeral pyre at Strawberry Lake Park in the evening. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
