About the race
Jingle Bell 8K Run & 5K Walk is the 10th annual community run and walk presented by the Whitehall Area Rotary. Race activities and post-race festivities are held at the American Club, 300 Cherry Street, Coplay, PA. The start line is on the Ironton Rail Trail by Saylor Park Kilns and the 8K course begins below the embankment at the Coplay Pavilion and finishes at the American Club.
Distances:
- 8K chip timed run, flat course, finishes at the American Club
- 5K walk, flat, dog and stroller friendly
The 8K is chip timed from start to finish; walkers are not timed. Race timing and official results are handled by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Awards include overall male and female prizes of $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd, plus the top two in each age group: 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Entry fees listed in event materials are: runners $35 until 11/19/2026 and $40 after that date; walkers $20 until 11/19/2026 and $25 after. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations by 11/15/2026; entrants may choose a shopping cooler bag instead of a shirt. Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday December 4 at the American Club and on the morning of the event.
On-site amenities include hot dogs, soups, hot chocolate, and a Santa appearance with free reindeer food for children. Costumes are encouraged.
