Backyard Ultra 2026 (6hr)
Left Handed Giant Run Club stages a backyard ultra at Left Handed Giant St Philips Brewery in Bristol, England. The event uses a single loop format: runners complete 4 miles each hour, on the hour, for six hours, which totals 24 miles / 39K if all six loops are completed.
One route is run repeatedly; participants start a new loop each hour and complete as many loops as they can. A competitor is eliminated if they fail to complete a loop within the hour or do not start their loop on the hour. No pacers are allowed. The first person back on the sixth loop is declared the winner. Prizes are awarded to the first male and first female finishers on completion of the sixth loop.
Included for participants are one Left Handed Giant beer (alcohol-free option available), a finisher goody bundle, a water station with Precision Fuel and Hydration, Jimmy's iced coffee for purchase, and a small snack station; runners are advised to bring their own nutrition. Bag drop and toilets are available. Friends and family may attend to cheer and an after-party is planned.
