About the race
Semaphore Coastal Running Festival 2027 is the 12th consecutive running festival held at Semaphore South, on the Esplanade in Semaphore South, SA, Australia. The event uses a measured loop course of 10.55 km as part of its course options and maintains the series' low-cost, low-key community focus.

- Virtual run run on the event day at a location of the participant's choosing
All participants receive a race bib and a finisher medal for every distance. Virtual entrants must run on the actual event day, record their effort (for example on Strava) showing elapsed or total time, and provide the run link or a screenshot for inclusion in published results; virtual race items are available for collection and are not posted. The event awards male and female trophies with a "12" theme and first-place medals for male and female finishers in the 10 km distance.
Registration rules include a closing time at noon three days before the event date unless registration is extended; registrants during any extension may receive a generic finisher medal in place of a fully engraved medal. Part proceeds support the Australian Cancer Research Foundation. Further event details are communicated to registered participants by event email in the week before race day.
