25th Annual Leatherneck Run
The Leatherneck Run reaches its 25th year at the First Woodway Baptist Church in Woodway, Texas. The event provides a community-focused racing environment with routes that navigate through the neighborhood streets adjacent to the church grounds. Two distinct distances are available for participants:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The course begins at the main entrance of the First Woodway Baptist Church. Participants can pick up their race materials the evening before the event at Putters Waco or on the morning of the activity at the church site. Parking for all participants is located on the west side of the church's main entrance.
An opening ceremony is held prior to the start of the events. Every participant who completes their distance receives a finisher medal. Competitive recognition includes awards for the first overall male and female finishers, as well as awards for the top three participants in various age groups. These groups range from those 12 and under to categories for participants 75 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
