Jolliest Bunch of Runners This Side of the Brazos 5K/1K
This event takes place on December 19, 2026 in Waco, Texas at 100 S University Parks. It offers both a timed 5K run/walk and a non timed 1K fun run/walk along a route that follows the Brazos River. The 5K course is USATF certified.

- 5K Timed run/walk, includes cotton blend short sleeved shirt.
- 1K Non timed fun run/walk, includes cotton blend short sleeved shirt.
Shirts are ordered December 9, 2026 and sizes are guaranteed only for registrations completed by 11:59 p.m. CST on that date. The listed registration fees are $35.00 for the 5K and $30.00 for the 1K. Race day registration is available for an additional fee; registering before race day reduces that extra charge by $5.
Packet pick up and onsite registration are scheduled the day before and the morning of the event at local pickup locations, including Waco Running Company and Indian Spring Park. The 5K includes awards for overall male and female, masters male and female, age groups, and a costume award for best Griswold outfit. Finisher medals are produced after the event and are guaranteed first to the initial 500 registrants, with remaining distribution based on registration order.
