The Leadville Trail 10K Run takes place in Leadville on August 16, 2026. Registration opens on January 9, 2026. The event is listed at a price of $70. The minimum age to race is 12 on race day. The race is the shortest distance in the Leadville Race Series and uses public roads in and around Leadville.
Course and aid stations
The race is an out-and-back that follows the first and last 3.1 miles of the LT100 Run course, with sections on paved and dirt roads. The total distance is 6.2 miles (10k). Course statistics include 475 feet of elevation gain, a lowest point at 9,734 feet, and a highest point at 10,135 feet. One aid station is provided at the turnaround, and additional liquids will be available on the Courthouse lawn. Aid station offerings include water, energy gels and high-carbohydrate beverage mix from Neversecond, Skratch Labs hydration and bars/chews, and assorted foods such as bananas, figs, pretzels, chips, and cola products. Wheelchair participation is not permitted on this course. Roads will not be fully closed to vehicle traffic; participants should be careful at intersections.
Awards and other notes
Age group awards are given three deep by defined age categories and include overall and para divisions as well as a non-binary open category.
