The Leadville Trail 10K Run is scheduled for August 16, 2026.
Course Information
The event is a 10k race (6.2 miles). It is an out-and-back course that uses the first and final 3.1 miles of the Leadville Trail 100 Run route. The course features paved and dirt roads and is not fully closed to vehicle traffic. Participants are advised to be careful at intersections.

Registration
General registration is open. The registration fee is $70. The minimum age for participants is 12 years old on race day.
Aid Stations
There is one aid station on the course at the turnaround point, with additional liquids available on the Courthouse lawn. The aid station offers water, Neversecond energy gel and drink mix, Skratch Labs hydration products, energy bars and chews, and assorted foods like bananas, figs, pretzels, chips, and cola products.
Packet Pickup & Schedule
Packet pickup is available on the Friday and Saturday before the race, as well as on race day (Sunday) from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The race starts at 9:00 AM on Sunday at the corner of 6th Street and Harrison Avenue in Leadville, Colorado. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 AM.
Awards
Awards are presented to the overall top male and female finishers, para male and female overall finishers, and the top three finishers in various age categories. Age groups include 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. There is also a Non-binary Open category.
Other Information
Participation in wheelchairs is not permitted due to course safety restrictions. The event includes a free kids dash. Volunteers are welcome to assist. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
