Leadville Trail 10K Run
The Leadville Trail 10K Run is a 6.2 mile / 10 km out-and-back road and trail event held in Leadville. The course uses the first and last 3.1 miles of the LT100 Run course and includes both paved and dirt road surfaces. The route gains approximately 475 feet in elevation and ranges from about 9,734 feet to 10,135 feet above sea level.
One aid station is located at the turnaround point and liquids are provided on the Courthouse Lawn. On-course nutrition includes Neversecond energy gels and high-carbohydrate drink mixes and Skratch Labs hydration, energy bars, and chews, plus assorted foods such as bananas, figs, pretzels, chips, and cola products. Wheelchair participation is not permitted on this course and roads are not fully closed to vehicle traffic, so runners should take care at intersections.
General registration opened on 1/9/26. The published entry fee for the Leadville Trail 10k is $70 and the minimum age to race is 12 on race day. Awards are given to overall and age group top finishers, with categories that include male, female, non-binary open, and para overall awards. Packet pickup is arranged at local event locations in Leadville prior to race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
