2026 LE 10-78 5K and Community Day
The LE 10-78 5K and Community Day is an annual non-profit event held in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Now in its 10th year, the gathering serves to recognize law enforcement officers and support those in crisis. The event is organized through a collaboration between the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Office Deputy's Association, East Grand Forks Police Association, Polk County Sheriff's Deputy's Association, and the Grand Forks Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2.
Participants can choose from the following activities:
- 5k Run/Walk
- Virtual 5k
- Kids Fun Run
The race route begins at Restaurant Row in East Grand Forks, specifically in front of the Blue Moose. Those participating in the 5k distance, whether on-site or virtually, receive a commemorative T-shirt, a race bib, and a medal. For on-site attendees, the morning includes opening ceremonies and an awards presentation.
In addition to the running events, the day features a variety of community activities. These include K9 demonstrations, static displays, inflatables, and local vendors. Registration for the event is open to the public, with proceeds remaining in the local area to assist officers and their families.
