The Grand Forks Running team organizes the 6th annual See Dick Run Grand Forks 10 race weekend in downtown Grand Forks. The event takes place over two days and features three distinct road racing distances. Profits from the event are donated to various local charities.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km (Beach Party 5K run/walk)
- 10 km (GF Run for Fun road race)
- 10 miles (Grand Forks 10 Mile road race)
The 5 km course is located on the Grand Forks side of the Greenway along the Red River, where the race both Begins and concludes. This route includes optional water obstacles. Both the 10 km and 10 mile races begin on the Sorlie Bridge. These routes lead runners through downtown Grand Forks, along University Avenue, and through the University of North Dakota campus. The courses continue along the East Grand Forks and Grand Forks greenways.
The finish line for the longer distances is located at the flood obelisk next to Town Square. Following the races, the downtown area hosts music and entertainment for participants and spectators. Registration fees vary based on the date of entry, with price tiers changing periodically leading up to the event weekend in late August.
