LBL Bridge to Bridge Trail Run

The event is a roughly 22 kilometer trail race that starts on the Canton side of the Lake Barkley Bridge, crosses into the Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area, follows the paved path along Highway 80, and continues on the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail to Fenton. The course then connects with the Kentucky Lake Bridge where runners cross and finish just west of Kentucky Lake along Highway 80.

The individual course surface includes paved sections and woodland trail with packed gravel. One description of the route lists an initial 3.6 mile paved segment, about 8.2 miles of winding packed gravel woodland, and a final 1.8 mile paved section. Moderate elevation changes occur on the woodland trail.

Event formats include individual entries and two person and three person relay teams:

  • 22K Trail Run - Individual
  • 22K Trail Run - 2 Person Relay, exchange at Golden Pond Visitor Center
  • 22K Trail Run - 3 Person Relay, segments of about 3.6, 3.8, and 6.2 miles

Transportation is provided between Kenlake State Resort Park and the start and exchange zones. Water stations are located at roughly two mile intervals along the Central Hardwoods Trail, including Devil's Elbow, Sunset, Meredith, Visitor's Center, English Hill, and Fenton. Packet pickup is available Friday at Growing Wild in Murray and at Kenlake State Resort Park on race day. The event is sanctioned and insured by USATF.
