MammothMarch Kentucky

MammothMarch Kentucky is a single-day hiking event held on May 8, 2027, at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, with start and finish at Nickell Branch Recreation Area in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. The event follows a single-circuit loop on the north end of the park and covers a distance of 20 miles over trails and service roads.

The route crosses mainly unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads and forest floor, with a total elevation gain of around 1,600 ft. Support is provided along the course with aid and refreshment stations positioned approximately every 5 to 7 miles; stations offer toilets and a range of foods and drinks including water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruits, cereal or protein bars and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Complimentary parking is available on site.

All participants who complete the 20-mile distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Participants who withdraw receive a certificate noting the distance covered. MammothMarch Hiking Passes will be issued to new participants and returning participants can present existing passes to collect 2027 event stamps. Merchandise ordered through the event store is available for pick up on the day, while items ordered through the official online shop are shipped.
