MammothMarch Kentucky

MammothMarch Kentucky is a single-day hiking event held on May 8, 2027, at Nickell Branch Recreation Area in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. The event route is a single-circuit loop of 20 miles on the north end of the recreation area. The final route will be released about two weeks before the event.

The hike covers varied terrain including unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads and forest floor, with a total elevation gain of around 1,600 ft. Aid and refreshment stations are positioned approximately every 5 to 7 miles and provide toilets, water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruits, cereal or protein bars and sandwiches; these refreshments are included in the cost of registration. Complimentary parking is available on site. All participants who complete the full distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate; participants who stop before the finish receive a certificate noting the mileage covered. MammothMarch Hiking Passes will be available for new participants, and returning participants may present previous passes to collect 2027 event stamps. Merchandise ordered through the event store is available for pick up on event day, while items ordered from the official MammothMarch online shop are shipped.
