The Law Enforcement Torch Run - Lee County takes place on Friday, February 27, 2026, in Fort Myers, FL. The event starts at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, located at 14750 Six Mile Cypress Parkway, Fort Myers 33912.
The route is approximately 4.9 mile and is led by an official Lee County Sheriff’s Office escort. Participants may run or bike the course. Two optional drop points are available for those who do not wish to complete the full distance, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office will provide transportation back to headquarters for participants who stop early. This is not a timed event; there are no bibs and no awards.
The event benefits Special Olympics Florida. One hundred percent of proceeds support year-round sports training, competitions, and health programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Two T-shirt options are offered for the event, cotton or dry fit, and participants must wear the event T-shirt on race day to participate. The event is open to the public and lists runners, cyclists, walkers, community groups, families, local businesses, and agencies among potential participants.
