Lavenham 10K Race
The Lavenham 10k is a trail race held on Sunday 31st January 2027 in Lavenham, starting and finishing at Lavenham Village Hall, Church St, Sudbury, CO10 9QT. The route follows an old disused railway line and uses mixed terrain, including footpaths, forest trails, shallow streams and quiet rural roads. Winter conditions may make sections muddy and splashy.
The event is manually timed, fully marked and marshalled, and first aid will be available. It is a cupless race with fresh drinking water provided for refilling personal bottles; no disposable cups are supplied. Appropriate grippy footwear is advised because of the varied and potentially slippery surfaces.
Practical details include a minimum age of 16 years and a 90 minute cut off time. An optional eco friendly finisher medal is offered and podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Race numbers are issued on the day and will not be posted in advance. A large public car park is available; vehicles are parked at owners risk.
Event conditions state that participants enter at their own risk and must ensure they are medically fit to take part. Photography and video footage may be used by the organisers and partners.
