RIP5K Run - Laurel Hill
The Rest in Peace 5K Run takes place at Laurel Hill East, a historic cemetery and arboretum in Philadelphia. This event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The route leads participants through the cemetery grounds, passing historic headstones, tombstones, and mausoleums.
The course is described as unique with varying elevations. Participants navigate through the South section of the property, which includes several hills. Despite the terrain, the entire course remains ADA-accessible. To assist with navigation, the route features kilometer markers and color-coded vinyl arrows on the pavement. There are two water stations located along the course for participant use.

The event features an after-run gathering with music provided by a local DJ. Participants with a race bib receive one complimentary beer or non-alcoholic beverage. Snacks are also provided. The organizers encourage participants to wear costumes, and awards are presented for top runners as well as for the best-dressed participants. Proceeds from the event support the Friends of Laurel Hill, a nonprofit organization focused on the preservation of the Laurel Hill East and Laurel Hill West historic grounds.
