Laule’a : Aloha Racing event on Oʻahu
The Laule’a running event takes place on Saturday, July 17, 2027, in the Wai Kai and Hoakalei area of Ewa Beach, Oʻahu. Organized by Aloha Racing, this is the fourth annual running of Laule’a. The name is pronounced lou-LAY-ah and means friendship and good will.

The courses are described as flat and fast and pass notable local landmarks. Runners start on Keone’ula Boulevard, proceed toward a first turnaround at Waipana Street, pass Wai Kai and Hoakalei Country Club, and move through the Hoakalei development. Half marathon runners continue toward Coral Sea Road and run a long straightaway with views of the Leeward Coast and Ernie Els’ signature golf course.
On-course logistics and services include accurately measured courses verified at least three times, aid stations roughly every mile offering water, electrolytes, energy and first aid, and medical support at each start and finish. Event amenities listed for all distances include finisher medals, cooling towels, free race photos, disposable timing chips, electronic results via a bib QR code, gear check, plentiful portable restrooms and post-race meal options available as add ons.
