Latterbarrow Loop Fell Race : 20 May 2026
The Latterbarrow Loop is a short fell race held in the Lake District on 20 May 2026 with a confirmed venue at Lowther Park Gate. The route is a loop that visits Latter Barrow West Top, Latter Barrow East Top, Bomery Gill and an area just below Swarth Fell summit before returning to the finish.
The course distance is 4.8 km (3 miles) with approximately 250 m (820 ft) of climb. The event is graded Category AS and carries a permit with associated UK Athletics insurance from the Fell Runners Association.
Entries are limited to 100 runners. Pre-entry is not available and entry on the day is possible for a fee of £5.00. Junior entries to the senior race are free. Minimum age to enter is 14. Junior races are listed in event information and further details may be published nearer the event.
Participants should note there are no toilets at the venue and parking is limited; attendees are asked not to park on grass verges. Every runner receives a prize. Mandatory kit is listed as waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, hat, gloves, map, compass and whistle, though the Race Organiser may reduce kit requirements on the day.
