Last Person Standing by Flint Creek Endurance
Last Person Standing in Gentry, AR is run on a measured one mile loop at 13616 Taylor Orchard Rd. The event uses a continuous elimination format: each runner must complete the loop within 20 minutes to remain in the event. New loops begin at 20 minute intervals and runners must be at the start line to continue.
Each participant receives a twenty dollar bill at check in. When a runner is eliminated their twenty dollars is added to the event prize pot. The final runner who completes a loop within the time limit receives the full pot. If no runner completes a loop within the limit, no winner is declared and the pot may roll over to a future event.
Rules require competitors to follow the marked course and to be self sufficient. No external pacing or outside assistance is allowed. Participants may rest, refuel, and hydrate between loops but must be ready to start when the next loop begins. Unsportsmanlike behavior, course shortcuts, or other rule violations can lead to disqualification. Race officials have final authority on disputes.
The event proceeds in most weather conditions unless officials judge conditions unsafe, in which case the director may pause, delay, or cancel the event. Registration closes on Thu, Apr 30 at 11:59 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
