Event overview
The Groundhog 5K is presented by Springdale Parks and Recreation and takes place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at J.B. Hunt Park in Springdale, Arkansas. This is the event's second annual running. The event offers a single distance: 5K. Entry is listed at $30.00, with the fee increasing to $35.00 after 12/31/25. Registration must be completed by December 19th to guarantee a T-shirt. The event is open to all ages and to both male and female participants. A finishers' medal is included with registration.
Course and logistics
The course starts on the J.B. Hunt Park Loop, crosses onto the Razorback Greenway, and finishes back on the J.B. Hunt Park Loop. An adjusted course map is noted as coming soon. Packet pickup is available Thursday, January 29 (8 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Friday, January 30 (8 a.m.-4 p.m.) at the Springdale Recreation Center, 1906 Cambridge St., Springdale.
