Last Man Standing - Lumberton, Texas
Last Man Standing in Lumberton, Texas is an endurance running event held in a scenic local park surrounded by towering pines. The course uses a two-loop design totaling 4 miles, weaving through well-maintained trails, shaded paths, and open stretches.
The event features two aid stations: an unmanned station on the back side of the course near mile 1 and a main aid station near the finish. Aid station supplies include water, electrolytes, pickle juice, coke, and snacks. Athletes may use a designated area near the start line for drop bags and small personal camps; participants are advised to bring a small canopy if they wish to set up a camp with snacks, drinks, and gear.
Packet pickup and athlete briefings take place on the days before the race. The event can continue overnight into Sunday as remaining racers continue to run.
All finishers receive a finisher medal with a patch showing the number of loops completed. Additional awards include a Last Man Standing Ultra Trophy and a Yeti cooler for the winner, plus finisher shirts. Proceeds from the event support NMA, which works alongside 1egacy Group, law enforcement, advocacy groups, and families to recover missing and exploited children by tracking traffickers, leading outreach, and responding to crises.
Registration closes on Oct 24. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
