Last Man Standing - Lumberton, Texas
Last Man Standing in Lumberton is an elimination style running event held in a local park surrounded by towering pines. The course uses a two loop design totaling 4 miles per loop and follows a mix of well maintained trails, shaded paths, and open stretches.
The event includes two aid stations. One is an unmanned water stop on the back side of the course near mile 1. The main aid station is located near the finish area and offers water, electrolytes, pickle juice, cola, and snacks. Participants may use a designated area near the start line for drop bags and athlete camps; a small canopy is recommended to store personal gear and supplies.
Packet pickup and pre race briefings are scheduled on the day before and on race day. Remaining racers may continue running through the night following the elimination format; spectators may watch on the day after the start.
All finishers receive a Last Man Standing medal with a patch indicating the number of loops completed. Awards include a Last Man Standing Ultra Trophy and a cooler for the overall winner, along with finisher shirts. Event proceeds support NMA and its partners, including 1egacy Group, law enforcement, advocacy groups, and families working to recover missing and exploited children.
