Last Chance BQ.2 Grand Rapids
Last Chance BQ.2 Grand Rapids is a single-distance marathon held on September 13, 2026 at Secchia Meadows in Millennium Park, Kent County Parks. The event address is 1400 Maynard SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. The race is limited to 330 runners and is presented by the team that organizes the University of Michigan Health-West Grand Rapids Marathon, which has worked with that event for 20 years.
The marathon distance is 26.2 Miles. A training-run option uses Millennium Meadows on August 30, 2026; that option includes a $40 entry for a bib, chip, and shirt and allows running approximately 18 or 22 miles on the same course, with the option to complete the full 26.2 miles and receive a finisher medal.
There are qualifying standards to enter this race; after June 15 the organizers will waive the qualifying times while still expecting entrants to be prepared to run a Boston qualifier. The race enforces a 4:30 time limit, with allowance for runners whose Boston qualifying standard is longer than 4:30. Wheelchairs, including handcycle or push rim, are not permitted on this course.
The course follows a wide paved path that crosses a footbridge, runs along the Grand River, and passes through meadows; most of the route is heavily shaded.
